Carrie Schreiner starts also in England

In 2016 the 17 years old Formula 4 pilot Carrie Schreiner is going to start also in the home of motorsports. The young lady from the Saarland / Germany is driving some selected races in the English MSA Formula 4. As the German ADAC Formula 4 with the Champion Team US Racing of Gerhard Ungar and Ralf Schumacher has absolute priority, the races in Brands Hatch, Thruxton, Rockingham and Silverstone are possible and have already been fixed.

Carrie is pretty chuffed about this new challenge: “We have further sponsors for this year and there will come some more. Therefore, this engagement was possible and made sense. I already spent some test days on the island resulting very good experiences. The English MSA Formula 4 race car is very similar to my German race car. There weren’t any problems of adjustment.

And furthermore: “With Double R, the ex-team of co-owner Kimi Räikkönen, I joined one of the top teams in British motorsports, too. I think that I will be able to learn a lot when driving those additional races and test periods what will make me much more competitive in the ADAC Formula 4.”

At the first official test day of the MSA with the local top drivers in Brands Hatch Carrie was completely competitive. In the morning session which was lasting several hours she drove among the top 3 for a long time. In total she succeeded in the fifth fastest round of morning. After the first round of the afternoon session Carrie was on P3, but afterwards she had to stop due to a technical defect.

Double R-Teamchef Anthony Hieatt was very satisfied with the German race amazon. “Carrie did a very good job. She has got an extremely clear driving style and she has great potential. Our team is very proud of her!”

The first races take place from 1st to 3rd April in Brands Hatch, a perfect rehearsal for Carrie before the German start of season in Oschersleben two weeks later.
