Lamborghini Super Trofeo: Carrie Schreiner is feverishly waiting for the first race weekend

On 8th February, the pack with the 620 hp strong Lamborghini Huracan bolides finally starts its first official free practice session of the season 2017 on the Formula 1 proven YAS Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Among them the 18-year-old Carrie Schreiner as the youngest pilot of the professional GT-series. Meanwhile also her teammate in the FFF Lamborghini Squadra Corse Team has been chosen. The young girl from the Saarland shares the cockpit with the Australian Spike Goddard. The 24-year-old drove in the Formula 3 Euro series for two years and was even formula 1 test driver at Force India in 2014.

Carrie is looking forward to her new teammate: “From such an experienced man, I can learn a lot and together we should have the speed to get among the top 10. Only early December I’ve got the contract for the Lamborghini cockpit and thus I didn’t have so much time for preparing. However, I’ve had some promising test days in my new race car and in the GT simulator at I-zone in Silverstone where I could practice race tracks in Abu Dhabi and Dubai which are new for me. Spike hasn’t been in the Lambo by now, but will surely be able to compensate that with his great experience. I feel ready for the new challenge!”

The qualifying starts on Friday, 10th February, the races take place on Saturdays and Sundays. Afterwards the whole team travels to the nearby Dubai where already one week later the 2nd event of the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East is taking place.
