Twice place 5 and victory in the PRO-AM class for Carrie Schreiner

The second event of the Asian Lamborghini Super Trofeo series took place on the newly constructed very modern circuit in the Thai Buriram. Carrie Schreiner started again with her team mate Spike Goddard for the FFF Lamborghini Squadra Corse Team. Like already in course 1 in Sepang/Malaysia the drivers had to cope with a heat of more than 35° degrees in the shade.

The two qualifyings run as the team had expected: P7 for Carrie in race 1 and P4 for the Australian in race 2.

Afterwards both drove two nearly faultless races and had constant fast lap times. The highlight certainly was the last round of the first race when Spike Goddard secured his team the victory in the PRO-AM class due to a courageous overtaking manoeuvre.

Thus the 18-year old girl from the Saarland was very satisfied with the weekend: “This time everything was quite unspectacular. We had qualis without problems and races without serious incidents. Twice place 5 in the overall classification and in addition the “last minute” victory in the PRO-AM class in the first race. Spike did a good job again and I was also very satisfied with my performance under those tropical weather conditions. My learning curve is rising and I’m on a good way.”

The next Asian race for Carrie Schreiner takes place from 23rd to 25th June on the Formula 1 circuit in the Japanese Suzuka.
