Carrie Schreiner is excitingly looking forward to the ADAC GT Masters opening

Finally, on 26thApril over 30 super sports cars with more than 500 hp are starting into the new season in the currently probably strongest GT series in the world. Traditionally, the first race weekend takes place in the Motorsportarena in Oschersleben, Germany.

For the first time, the 20-year-old Carrie Schreiner from Völklingen will take part. As the sports director of her Audi HCB Rutronik team, the German sports car and touring car legend Manuel Reuter, phrased it: "Carrie is the only woman who dares to do it!" In fact, the woman from the Saarland is going to be the only female pilot in the field this year and the youngest in the history of the GT Masters!

„I’m fully aware of the task: I’ll compete there nearly only against World Champions, Le Mans winners, DTM drivers, factory pilots and the best young top drivers. However, after many victories and two won championships in the classes below, I really wanted to take this step. First of all, it means for me to learn a lot and try to establish myself somewhere in the middle field. My team fully supports me and with Dennis Marschall I have a great team-mate who already has two years’ experience in the GT Masters.

We have tested a lot and are very well prepared. In the first round of the Dunlop 60 series in Hockenheim, I took the pole position against well-known opponents in the Audi R8 LMS GT3 and with our Giti "Girls only Team" by WS Racing in the VW Golf TCR at the VLN Endurance Championship on the Nürburgring Nordschleife we have reached the second place in our class right away. Now it's getting serious in the ADAC GT Masters and I'm very curious to see how I'll be able to compete there, "said Carrie Schreiner with a mixture of great anticipation and respect.
