VLN 9: Class victory for Carrie Schreiner on the at the end of the season

Now it has finally worked: After three second places, the "Girls Only Team by WS Racing and Giti Tires" has achieved the first class victory with the VW Golf TCR on the longest and most difficult racetrack in the world.

The first pure women's team has meanwhile established at the VLN and finally acquired respect in the motorsport scene. Carrie Schreiner drove the fastest race lap in her class again and after only one and a half years of experience in the VLN, she has become one of the fastest women ever on the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife. When she had started with the "Girls only" team so far, they always reached the podium of the class SP3T. With her new partner Celia Martin from France, the young woman from the Saarland forms a brilliant team on and off the racetrack. Thus, the team owners, Thorsten Willems and Thomas Rehlinger, would like to continue with both of them: "The plans for 2020 with the "Girls only" team are already in full swing, Carrie and Celia have already been seeded. The harmony in the team is just perfect now and both are obviously fast! " Thus, a quick preview to next year.

As for Carrie a long season 2019 is over now. There were many ups, but of course the expected downs, too: "My first season in the ADAC GT Masters as the only woman in one of the hardest and strongest motorsport series in the world was very difficult and instructive. In the last few races, however, I was able to keep up with the pace of many top drivers and was by far the youngest female pilot ever who was able to reach the podium in this league. Next year, however, I have to get the qualifying under control. Even on the Nordschleife I meanwhile could establish myself, no matter with which car. I can drive a GT3, GT4 and TCR! But now my well-deserved winter break is coming. The negotiations for 2020 are in full swing. One thing, however, I can already tell you: I definitely won’t change for the worse! ", so Carrie Schreiner jokingly about her next motorsport year.
