Carrie Schreiner with an extensive racing programme in 2022

Carrie Schreiner, the 23-year-old racing driver from the Saarland, has now finalised her programme for this year's season.

Carrie Schreiner concluded the one-year "guest performance" in Italy with the Ferrari factory team AF Corse with a strong fifth overall position in the Italian GT Endurance Championship. The highlight certainly was the 2nd place in the Ferrari 488 GT3 in Vallelunga near Rome, where they narrowly missed the first overall victory by a woman in the history of the series.

Now the fast racing amazon is drawn back to German series. This year, her focus will undoubtedly be the most beautiful and challenging racetrack in the world, the “Nürburgring Nordschleife”. Carrie Schreiner will once again compete with the BMW M4 GT4 in the 24-hour qualifying race and the German motorsport highlight of the year, the legendary 24-hour race, with the unique "Girls only” team by WS Racing led by creator Thorsten Willems.

For the remaining six rounds of the Nürburgring Endurance Championship (NLS), Carrie will switch to the Mercedes-AMG GT3. This job will be taken over by the last year's NLS GT4 champion team "Schnitzelalm Racing" around the experienced team boss Günter Aberer. Her teammate will be the former DTM factory driver and multiple Nordschleife lap record holder Peter Terting. A third strong driver will join them for the 6h and 12h races.

Also, in the Mercedes AMG GT3, the 23-year-old will tackle the entire GTC series with changing teammates in the "Space Drive Racing" team with the revolutionary "Steer by wire" steering system from Schaeffler Paravan. At the second round on the Lausitzring in July, the current DTM champion Maxi Götz will drive at her side after she had been competing with David Schumacher in Oschersleben.

Carrie's third series will be the full season of the Porsche Sports Cup Endurance Championship. At two guest starts in previous years, she had been the first woman who won the overall victory in each race of the Sprint Series, at that time in the 991 R. This time she will start with the fast bronze driver Lars Joosten in the new Porsche 992 GT3 Cup of Peter Terting's "Plus Line Racing" team.

"It will be another very challenging programme for me this season, again with very different cars. My big wish was to start with a GT3 on the Nordschleife. We were able to realise this, also thanks to my new partners "Plus Line" and "Besaplast". With Peter I have a very experienced teammate who can certainly help me. My goal is to get as close as possible to the 8-minute sound barrier of the NLS version. In the GTC race series we had a difficult start at the beginning of the season due to problems beforehand and I was only able to drive the first kilometres with the car at the race weekend. That's why P5 was damage control. At the second event I want to fight for podium positions again. I don't have that much experience with the Cup Porsche yet, so I'll just let it come to me. Finally, I would like to thank Peter Terting, Roland Arnold (Schaeffler Paravan) and Thorsten Willems, without whom my programme would not have been possible in this form."

This year, Carrie Schreiner's all-round qualities will be in great demand again.
