Season highlight for Carrie Schreiner
The best comes at the end: Coming weekend, the 25-year-old woman from Saarland will travel to the USA for the season finale of the newly created F1 Academy for women. For the first time, the series will be part of the Formula 1 supporting programme. Also, for the first time, all sessions, i.e. all free practice sessions, both qualifying sessions and the three races will be broadcasted live on TV in more than 100 countries! In the German-speaking regions, the Sky F1 channel (Germany and Switzerland) and ORF (Austria) will take over the broadcasting.
In 2024, all races will be held together with Formula 1 and live broadcasts of all sessions will become standard. In addition, 10 selected female drivers of the F1 Academy will be supported by the current Formula 1 teams in future.
So, perfect prospect for the further development of the series and Carrie Schreiner is looking forward to being there in Austin.
"It will be another new experience in my motorsport career. After a difficult start into the season, I have now arrived in formula racing. My victory at Zandvoort was the turning point. During the long break since the last race in Paul Ricard, I started a few times on my beloved Nürburgring Nordschleife and had the unforgettable Red Bull event there as well. After that came a few more days of testing in the formula car. So I feel well prepared and want to go into the winter break with a good result.
It's mega that the F1 Academy now always races together with Formula 1 and everything can be seen live on TV. This will give women in motorsport another big boost," says Carrie, full of anticipation.
