Carrie Schreiner with Sauber Formula 1 and Campos Racing another year in the F1 Academy

Carrie Schreiner has finally made it. It is the second year now that the 25-year-old driver from the Saarland belongs to the newly founded F1 Academy for women. Even better: Out of a total of 15 places, she has been awarded one of the ten highly popular seats in a cockpit of a current Formula 1 team, which will take on a sponsorship roles for the racing teams this year. As the newest member of the Sauber Academy, she will drive in the colours of the F1 team. Her team will be the renowned and successful Spanish Campos Racing Team.

Thus, Carrie is full of anticipation: "I am extremely proud that I’ll be part of the Sauber team in the new season. The F1 Academy established in 2023 and proved that the series offers sustainable support for women in motorsport.

In 2024 therefore it was a tough battle for the seats. My positive development over the entire season 2023 has finally been in my favour. As a recent Formula rookie, the start of the season was very difficult, but I was able to be among the front runners several times starting at Zandvoort and Monza. With my highlight of the season: the victory in Zandvoort! Now we are driving all the races in the Formula 1 supporting programme, and I am starting with the same design as the drivers of the Sauber F1 team! During the first tests in December I have already felt very comfortable at Campos Racing.

It is going to be a very tough season with 18 race events planned. The F1 Academy will be even stronger this year and, with very few exceptions, the best women in the world under the age of 25 will be on the grid. All races are going to be broadcasted live on TV in more than 100 countries!

I will be perfectly prepared this time and give my best to be as far ahead as possible," says the only German driver in the field.

Schreiner’s racing schedule in 2024 is as full as never before. On 12 – 14 January already, Carrie Schreiner is going to drive in Abu Dhabi. Three events in the Middle East series with the Australian team AGI Sport, two in the Spanish winter series and several test days are scheduled for the German driver before the first race weekend of the F1 Academy in Jeddah in March. Further test days and several guest starts in the Spanish Formula Series will be added during the season. Schreiner is not only supported by her many fans around the world, but also by her strong partners. With Plus.line, Schaeffler and Donic, the existing sponsors are extending their commitment. In the 2024 season, Schreiner is also happy to have the support of Heizoel24 from Berlin and Tecpointer from the Saarland.
