F1 Academy in Miami: First highlight of the season for Carrie Schreiner

This weekend, things will get serious again for the Sauber Junior Team driver. She will travel to Miami/Florida in the USA for the second F1 Academy event. This time, 16 of the best women in the world will be fighting for positions in the Formula 1 supporting program in front of a sold-out crowd. Once again, a city circuit with a breathtaking scenery right by the sea.

The driver from the Saarland was already able to feel the unique atmosphere on the two media days on Wednesday and Thursday. The three Sauber drivers Valtteri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu and Carrie Schreiner visited the famous Museum of Graffity and other attractions.

The two free practice sessions are scheduled for Friday, qualifying on Saturday morning, race 1 at midday and race 2 on Sunday. Everything will be broadcasted live on TV in over 100 countries, with Sky broadcasting as usual on its Formula 1 channel in Germany. This time the races are in primetime: Saturday R1 at 8pm and Sunday R2 at 7pm.

Carrie really enjoys the event: "It's just fantastic what I can experience here, but my focus is now only on the sporting part. I'm not putting any pressure on myself, but I'm hoping for a good qualifying this time and then a lot will be possible. I'm highly motivated and will give absolutely everything!"
