GT Sport: Carrie Schreiner announced her comeback in GT3

After her comeback to formula racing with two very exciting years in the newly founded F1 Academy for women, the 26-year-old from Saarland is now starting a new chapter in motorsport. Due to the regulations, the Sauber F1 Junior pilot, like all other female drivers, has to leave the series after two years. Carrie had established herself among the top 10 against the supposedly best women in the world and had already won a race in her first year.

Nevertheless, she will remain in the Sauber F1 Team, which will start as the Audi F1 works team in 2026, as a global brand ambassador. Her complete range of tasks will be defined in detail in the coming weeks.

But her motorsport career is also picking up speed. She will return in a GT3 car, the supreme discipline in GT sport worldwide.

To prepare for the season, Carrie Schreiner will drive 2-3 events in the GT winter series in the South of Spain and then she will compete again in the ADAC GT Masters as the main series, where she already finished on the podium in 2019 as by far the youngest woman ever. Of course, she will also be competing again for the “Girls only Team” on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in GT4. WS Racing has completely reorganized itself under a new management and, in addition to the NLS, will of course also be competing again in the legendary 24-hour race.

So, Carrie is now looking forward to 2025: “Of course, there is a bit of nostalgia. Driving in the support program of the absolute premier class in motorsport was obviously a unique experience that I will never forget. As the only driver in the entire field who came over GT sport, I was also very satisfied with the results in terms of sport. However, as a global brand ambassador for my team, I will continue to be involved in Formula 1 in a different role in future. It was clear from the start that I wanted to return to my “beloved” GT3 after the two years. I have learned a lot as a driver in the very demanding formula car and have become a better and more complete racing driver. So the switch back will be very easy for me. My 2024 season lasted 11 months, so I'm glad to have a two-month break now to recharge my battery. I'll be back in the race car in mid-February. As far as the ADAC GT Masters is concerned, we are in very promising negotiations with several teams to put together a suitable package. I am convinced that with a good team partner I will be able to drive in the top positions in this very strong series!”
