GT Winter Series in Barcelona: Another overall podium for Carrie Schreiner

At the last event of the GT Winter Series, which had strong fields in all classes, the GT3 comeback of the 26-year-old from Germany ended. After another class podium in the first sprint race, the Sauber F1 brand ambassador and her team-mate, the US driver Danny Soufi, finished the series with another overall podium in the one-hour final race. At the three events in Spain, Carrie finished on the podium no fewer than six times! So, it's fair to say that the switch from formula cars to GT3 racing has been a success!

After the last weekend, Carrie Schreiner said: ‘On average, there were over 30 cars in the field in four different classes, so there was always a lot of fighting for position, especially at the start of each race. Thus, I was unfortunately involved in an accident in Aragon though it wasn't my fault. We had a few technical problems with our older Lamborghini Huracán Evo 1, but my team, Konrad Motorsport, had always managed to fix them in time before the race. They did a really good job! Under these circumstances, I am very satisfied with the results and also with my performance. I feel very comfortable in a GT3 again and was also doing well in Barcelona in the rain and under changeable conditions. Soon I'll be testing a current car, with which I'm sure I'll make further progress. I'll be very well prepared in time for the start of the ADAC GT Masters season at the beginning of May. Now, on 21-22 March, I'll be continuing with my ‘girls-only team’ at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The first run of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) is coming up.’
